Preparing for Guidance

Spectacular Achievement is always preceded by un-spectacular preparation.

How can I best prepare for receiving a reading?

To best prepare both mind and Spirit, I suggest receiving your reading in an undistracted environment, to be fully present. Comfortably focus on the guidance streaming through your session. Imagine the Dalai Lama asking his questions in a hypothetical reading – he likely would be open to receiving clear answers but probably wouldn’t try to push the guidance along with “helpful” narrative. Reading is a sensitive energetic process –being tuned into the here and now is essential for smooth and seamless interpretation of clairvoyant imagery. Pray, breathe and or meditate before your session, if nothing else it will relax the monkey mind and activate a more receptive state of being. Most of all, enjoy the magic- open your self to hearing guidance from the heart and for the heart.

Meditation Musings & Winter Events

Journey to the center of self... Meditation is a sanity saving skill that deserves to be honed; steeping in daily silence reintroduces the joy and expansiveness of total being-ness, not just the doing-ness. Although it can take a while to become seated into inner silence, it’s worth every effort. Eventually you will feel a sense of bliss and balance that was previously eclipsed by compulsive busyness.

Meditation is a technique for “reversing the senses.” Through quieting and internalizing focus we redirect energy towards the core of the self. After meditation most folks feel re-set and refreshed, perceiving more vivid color and imagery upon the screen of consciousness.

Too often seekers relate to the practice of turning attention inward as either an exercise in seeking redemption or a frustrating battle to quiet the mind. If we meditate properly, the mind naturally quiets down. We just have to dig through the top layers of restlessness - like drilling a well – patience and persistence pay off. Eventually, when we stabilize to “still point”, we move to the interior where the “light and sound” totally eclipses the runaway train of thoughts taking up real estate in our melons. The process is simple, close your eyes, relax and notice the rhythmic cycle of your breath. Focus on feeling internally – relax into breathing, let the thoughts come and go. If you encounter passing thoughts, redirect focus toward feeling your breath. Relax, let go, and enjoy the ride.

Preparing for a Reading

Intuition does not come to an unprepared mind.
— Albert Einstein

I am often asked, “How can I best prepare for my reading?” To prepare mind and spirit I suggest to have your reading in an undistracted environment and be fully present. Comfortably focus on the guidance presently streaming through your session. If you have burning personal questions, try to present them in the spirit of “non-attachment” (as best you can). Imagine asking your questions as if you were the Dalai Lama – open to receiving clear answers but not trying to “push the guidance” along. It is always best to be fully seated in the present when asking about your future! Reading is a sensitive energetic process so being tuned into the 'here and now' makes for a smoother interpretation of clairvoyant imagery.

As for me, I prepare a minimum of thirty minutes before my readings. My prep consists of a short, intense meditation combined with prayer, vocal warm ups, visualization exercises (to warm up my mental movie screen), and lastly Hemi-Synch brain balancing exercises.
